'Electricity from Algae' sounds Electrifying!

This sounds like a great achievement. If electricity could be created from Algae, imagine how much this can contribute to the dying natural resources.

Algae to Electricity would be a great journey for humans!

The technology utilizes the process of photosynthesis by algae, one of the most common microorganisms on earth. Algae naturally creates electrons during photosynthesis, and metal probes stuck into the plant can capture that energy and transfer it into electricity for batteries. The new technology has immense potential to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.


A living example of such usage has been showcased in Germany where an "Algae Powered" building has been opened! However this building is partially powered by electricity made fro algae, but this is a great step towards further development in this area.

NASA has revealed great images of black holes on this Black Friday! The images look breathtaking.

This artist's concept illustrates a supermassive black hole with millions to billions times the mass of our sun. Supermassive black holes are enormously dense objects buried at the hearts of galaxies. (Smaller black holes also exist throughout galaxies.) In this illustration, the supermassive black hole at the center is surrounded by matter flowing onto the black hole in what is termed an accretion disk. This disk forms as the dust and gas in the galaxy falls onto the hole, attracted by its gravity.

Black Friday In-Store Shopping means being prepared to handle total chaos!

Undoubtedly the deals at this time of the year is unique but what comes as a trade-off is a display of non-respecting and indecent behavior by many. People running over like mad, snatching stuffs from each other, fighting over 'that one last piece', running over lying people and what not! Surprisingly, store owners film this entire entry and showcase to measure how successful their day was. Thoughtful.

Should we be allowed to carry guns in public?

16 in Hospital After Shooting at Playground in New Orleans in US - While, thankfully, this time it's not a terrorist behavior, but this happened because of open firing arising out of an argument between two gangs!

But this incident forces me to ask this question again:  Should we be allowed to carry gun in public?

The story is still unfolding, but read what the initial story says:

At least 16 people were hospitalized after a shooting at a playground in New Orleans, a local TV station reported on Sunday, citing police.

Initial reports suggest the shooting was not related to terror; it allegedly started after an argument between two gangs.

WWL TV said the shooting occurred around 7 p.m. local time (0100 GMT on Monday) while about 500 people were at Bunny Friend playground in the city's Upper Ninth Ward for the making of a music video.

Witnesses told WWL at least two gunmen were shooting into the crowd. The Times-Picayune newspaper quoted witnesses as saying they saw several people lying on the sidewalk after the shooting.

Several ambulances were seen leaving the scene and 10 of the victims were taken to University Medical Center in New Orleans, WWL said.

The Times-Picayune said New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu had arrived at the scene of the shooting.
